Health, Happiness, Helping and Healing through Song

Jim Hamilton, acclaimed musician, songwriter, teacher, and arts facilitator has designed a special workshop for the Rotary Clubs of Thunder Bay and Nipigon.

Participants will hear and respond to Jim's original music and several songs co-written with Jim and local elementary students. His sessions motivated students to explore and share their hopes, dreams, challenges, and feelings and empowered them to write lyrics relevant to their lives.

Enjoy an interactive session on February 1 where all participants will be encouraged to share their connections to the topics brought forward during the performances and presentation. Explore the concept of "Making Meaning" as you work independently and in groups to create literary devices that are linked to your lives and your time with Rotary.

Our location at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery allows time to view three new exhibitions https://theag.ca/art/ prior to the workshop, and enjoy quality time catching up with fellow Rotarians around some light refreshments. Suggested donation to support this event is $10 payable at the door or etransfer parotarytreasurer.com noting Jim Hamilton workshop.
