Pathways to Home Information Session

The Port Arthur Rotary Club invites all Thunder Bay Rotarians to attend a community information session on the proposed Temporary Shelter Village initiative on June 8th at 7:00 PM at The Salvation Army Journey to Life Centre, 545 Cumberland Street North.
 
The evening will begin with a special performance preview by the Fort William Male Choir, followed by presentations and discussion on the Temporary Shelter Village project and opportunities for Rotary involvement in supporting community solutions to homelessness.

Guest Speaker - Rick Thompson

The Lakehead Rotary Club is excited to welcome guest speaker Rick Thompson from TBDHU, who will be speaking about the important work being done to address the addiction crisis and the growing presence of drugs on our streets.
 
Rick will share insights into the initiatives, challenges, and community-based approaches that he and his team are undertaking to support harm reduction, public health, and recovery efforts across the region.
 
As part of the presentation, information will also be provided on the use of naloxone, including how it can help save lives during an opioid overdose emergency. Naloxone kits will be available for attendees, along with guidance on how to use them safely and effectively.
 
This promises to be an informative and meaningful discussion on a critical issue impacting our communities today.
