A wonderful weekend of fellowship, friendship and celebration brought Rotarians together for the Rotary District Conference on October 3rd, including this fantastic group representing our Canadian clubs!
There was an extra reason to celebrate as TBayREAct was recognized with the Environmental Stewardship Award, honouring the group's dedication to making a meaningful difference right here in Thunder Bay.
From working alongside EcoSuperior on the Litta Traps project to partnering with the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority (LRCA) to build the Seeds for Conservation Greenhouse, these initiatives are wonderful examples of what can happen when community organizations work together for a common purpose.
And the work doesn't stop there! TBayREAct is now turning its attention to an exciting new Butterfly Corridor initiative, beginning with the cleanup of Thunder Bay's Adelaide Butterfly Garden, helping create welcoming spaces for pollinators to thrive. Congratulations to everyone involved in this well-deserved recognition! It's a beautiful reminder that caring for our environment begins close to home, and that even the smallest local efforts can help create a greener, healthier future for generations to come.
A little teamwork, a lot of heart, and some pretty wonderful things taking root in our community! 💚
