Sometimes the biggest numbers tell a very human story.
During the 2025-26 Rotary year, Rotary members, leaders, donors and supporters around the world came together to raise more than US$477 million in gifts and commitments to The Rotary Foundation.
It is an incredible number, but what matters most is what those dollars become. They become clean water, better health care and new opportunities for education. They help communities recover after disaster, support efforts to protect our environment, fight poverty and continue Rotary’s commitment to building peace around the world.
This past year alone, The Rotary Foundation awarded 1,804 global grants, 463 district grants and 61 disaster response grants. Together with our partners, Rotary helped vaccinate more than 350 million children in 28 countries during 2025, continuing the extraordinary work toward a polio-free world. Rotary also opened its newest Peace Center at Symbiosis International University in India, helping prepare another generation of leaders committed to creating peace. Those are big accomplishments, but they begin in much smaller ways.
They begin with a Rotarian volunteering their time. A donor choosing to give. A club deciding that something in their community, or somewhere across the world, can be better. They begin with people believing that even one contribution, one project or one act of service can become part of something much larger. For those of us at the club level, it can sometimes be easy to forget just how far our collective efforts reach. What we do in our own communities joins the work of Rotary clubs around the world, and together those individual efforts become something pretty remarkable.
